St. Paul's Day Parade
The parade was held in the streets of Valletta.
Statue of St. Paul. He is carrying a sword because the apostles and disciples are usually depicted carrying the weapon by which they were martyred.
During the parade I was struck by the fact that the reason thousands of people were gathered was simply because one man was shipwrecked on their island. But what Paul did changed their history forever. How great is our God!

Wow...That's so cool. I guess most people don't even realize the significance of the origins of the parade, then? Just that Paul is a saint or something and that it's a good excuse to have a good time? heh That would be an awesome way to lead into a profitable conversation with a Maltese person...;) Gosh, i wanna travel again...:) Everything is going well here, though. I'm seeing reasons why God has me here, so that's encouraging...Well, i hope you're doing well! Blessings! --dana
hey bro...thats a classic case of the Maltese inventing something just to throw a street party! A bit more indepth research will reveal that Paul never came to Malta, let alone got shipwrecked here!
